What is the role of a Data Scientist in a consulting firm?

The role of a Data Scientist is crucial in any business ecosystem, and this is no different for a company whose goal is to optimize benefits for its clients. The main reason is the growing need for businesses to fully harness the potential of data. We live in an era where innovation is driven by the ability to extract value from data, and in this context, our task is to translate this abundance of data into insights and strategic solutions that can bring value to businesses.

After completing my university studies in Economics, I was looking for a job that would leverage the quantitative approach I had developed during my studies, while maintaining a strong focus on business.

Working in a consulting firm allows me to engage with data while staying closely connected to the client and the specific business applications required. By collaborating directly with clients, I gain a deep understanding of their needs and can customize our solutions to meet them effectively. This close relationship enables us to respond quickly to client demands and continuously adjust our solutions to tackle challenges in real time. However, the real challenge lies in avoiding one-size-fits-all solutions and always seeking alternatives that add unique value to each context.

Furthermore, the growth path at MBS involves the development of managerial skills, which is part of what I was looking for.
